Is anyone familiar with this artist? What I've been able to find is that she did several murals for the Post Office in Illinois. Is this artist collectible?

While i'm not familiar with her work, I'm sure she is.

According to her bio, she did a lot of lithography, and won awards and exhibit prizes for some of her work.
Since prints are always popular, with her track record at least some of her stuff must be pretty valuable.

You could subscribe to AskART or another website that lists prices of earlier auctions, but the info will probably cost a fee. Or you could spend a bunch of time digging up old sales catalogs and requesting prices from them, but art auctions don't ever reveal very much for free.

Here is her bio:

If you own one of her works, it may be well worth your time to get it evaluated. She passed on in the 80's, so provenance may be important if a sale is being considered.

I found this YouTube video uploaded in 2012 showing one of her murals. It still hangs in the Oak Park, Illinois Post Office:

"White Fawn" (1940)

Depression Era Art In The Forest Pk. Post Office - YouTube

I would also be interested in finding out how many of her other pieces were commissioned for the Post Office. I will have to do more research.

She was one of the WPA artists who painted lots of murals in government buildings during the Great Depression. I'll bet she painted more than one mural in the Chicago area; most of the artists who did mural painting received more than one commission, as there were relatively few muralists in the art program. The murals were very popular with the public, so one commission often led to another.
