Was the subject wearing some sort of dark fur or have you just blended the hair colour into the background? It reminds me a bit of Art deco, the way it's quite stylised and moody

I do amateur photography here and there. Am trying to save up for a nicer camera some day soon. I used to do pencil drawings and charcoal drawings from time-to-time, but I gave that up.

I will attest to the fact that your amateur photography is as good and often better than some highly paid professionals.

Thanks, ya'll for the compliments and encouraging words.
Rh1, I blended her hair into the background.
Black on black, emphasizing her face.

Well, I finally got the chance to utilize my new studio over the weekend! Still a few things I need to tweak about the layout and such but overall it's just great to have a totally dedicated space where I don't have to take things down or that's in the middle of the bedroom! Now I just need to find more time to work!

Hey well done! I'm painting the kitchen at the moment. Proper painting-wise things are almost at a complete halt unfortunately. I had an inspired moment a month or so ago when the fields were brilliant yellow with rape flowers, but the things I produced were too quick and no good. I need to learn that I can't rush stuff.

What's shadow boxing? Sounds interesting. (Presumably it doesn't involve hitting walls... )

That sounds cool. Do you do the carvings from the photos?
