Sometimes things almost as good as that are shown on Antiques Roadshow.

In this case though I wonder why authorities around the world weren't alerted when the painting was first stolen. Maybe they were. Maybe it's the railway's fault for not turning the artwork in so that the true owners could be found.

Good that this guy had an eye for great art and bought it so cheaply but it's not really his to sell. It's still stolen art, I think. Of course if all of the heirs and insurers have been notified and still no one came forward to claim it then I don't know whose it would be except for the Italian guy who bought it. He can sell it but whoever buys it will do so knowing that someone could still come forward and legitimately claim it.
