As I looked around for photos on gentrification most of them seem to be impersonal and showing buildings and neighborhoods. People are mainly my landscape with buildings usually secondary. Here is my version of gentrification from my project 'The Americans...60 years after Frank' an up-to-date redo of sorts of Robert Frank's landmark 1950's book 'The Americans.'

It is not staged, but it is obviously posed. I was on a lunch break and saw them wandering their old neighborhood. I asked them to sit in the tub and shot it.
