I was behind a Ford Mustang today and admired the silver horse emblem on the rear. Very artistic. Did that artist ever get recognition for their work? So many artists don't get acknowledged or paid much.

Then I wondered: would I rather see my artwork everywhere and be unknown or would I rather work for myself and be unknown. Me: 2nd choice. It's not about money so much although it would really annoy me if I designed something that got used internationally over many years and I was only paid $200.

What about other artists?

edit to add: Philip Thomas Clark designed both the car and the emblem at age 27. He died age 32.
