is there a place here to post original artwork? if not, maybe we ought to start doing that here. they have stuff like that in the photography forum, and on many other websites out there. i am curious to see what others are up to artistically.

i'll start with some of mine. i just barely started putting them on the web, so i only have a couple. i will update as i get around to putting more up. yeah, it's facebook--i'm cheap. eventually i might actually post it on a specialty site, or get my own.

all right, people. get cracking! i want to see some virtual galleries springing up around here.

aaron out.

thank you. i do multimedia/graphic art/web content for a living, but figured that i ought to start focusing some on my fine art as well.

i always like getting feedback about my art, questions, comments, and critique.

but i also would like to see other people post their stuff here.

Hiya,

I like that eye - nice! Very mysterious title... You could illustrate sciency magazines easily with that style.

There have been a couple of threads where some of us have put paintings and stuff but they seem to have gone off this page. I'll try to put some different stuff on anyway to avoid boring people

Sorry, that one's a bit blurred. The woman who bought it turned up to collect before I got chance to take a decent photo. It was quite tiny - about 6 inches across. Most of the others are a lot bigger than that.

I have to scan a ton of old pics and check my externals for the others but here is one to start.

I also build bikes in various shapes and sizes. I saw an art exhibit over 20 years ago called the Art of The Bicycle and I fell in love with bikes from that day on. A bicycles concept of power is so basic and it can be adapted to any shape or size with some thought. I look at my bikes as rolling art, art in its basic form of motion, uncluttered and functional. Basic lines and symmetry when possible. They are built from recycled bikes and steel and always from an image in my mind, they never see any paper or plans. I have an idea and just start bending and welding, no set measurements, if it looks right and works I go with it. Each piece is made in its order of assembly. They are built one piece at a time.
