no matter which interstate combo (17/10, 40/25/10, or 40/35/45) you choose to get to Houston, you'll have to travel thru several cities along the way, including on I-10....the speed limit may drop ten mph or something for a few miles, but you won't have to drive surface streets....it's all about safety, you know....
