Thanks Chaparrito, I stand corrected about Verde Santa Fe. Your comments about are local "attitude" is spot on. I personally have great neighbors and am very happy in Cornville. I find everyone around there are extremely helpful while still giving you a lot of space, which is much better than L.A. where I used to live. There is also plenty of recreation around here. Horseback riding, off roading and hiking are among the multiple activities.

Chaparrito is also correct about not moving here. You won't find that many fancy cars, conceded people or snobs around here. You'll probably be more comfortable in Sedona than Cornville. LOL

Default Drive In Movie Theatre ?

Should Cottonwood have a Drive In Movie Theatre? We think it would be fun. Thoughts?

A drive in theater would be kind of a cool retro thing, but I think it would end up attracting not enough people, and the wrong type of people, to keep it sustained.

I agree with infocyde. Though a drive in theater would be cool, it probably wouldn't go that well in Cottonwood.

I'd like to see a good bakery in Cottonwood. Is there one? I know that is a hard go too. A Sprouts would be awesome!

We used to have one but it's been gone a long time. All my cousins worked there in high school.

I think the drive in theaters would work better in a more suitable area like Kingman or closer to the Nevada border.

I think drive-in theaters are gone for good and in most areas will never return.

Why would you go to the drive-in when you can watch a movie on your computer or your home theater set-up?

Because muh 1950s nostalgia. It's about the hot rods, rock 'n rock and women.

Red face Growing

Stopped by Cottonwood Public Works office. New Starbucks and Dunkin Doughnuts being built. Marathon Gas Station to be built on corner of 89 A and Cornville Rd. 89 & Vine project to start construction soon with a commercial center on 89 A in front of project that will have between 1500 to 2000 new homes.

Good to hear. Cottonwood rental and home market is so thin right now. Just not much inventory.
