Hey all! I'm moving to Cottonwood soon and will be working in Clarkdale. I just want to get an idea about what the locals on here love about the area. Thanks!

Old Town is pretty cool. I like Dead Horse Ranch State Park and the small town vibe.

The Verde river.

Traffic circles instead of stop lights (controversial, I know!).

Randall's Restaurant for breakfast.

STILL haven't made it to Verde Lea Market & Deli which reportedly has the best tortas ever.

I agree that traffic circles are a plus, and I'm really looking forward to camping at Dead Horse Ranch State Park in the autumn. Thank you all!

It's close to Sedona and Flag, far prettier areas IMO, but cheaper. Or at least it used to be.

It seems weird to me to camp that close to home (if you live in Clarkdale) but I guess it saves time and gas!

So, I've been here two weeks now, and although Sedona is stunningly beautiful, I am finding myself drawn more to the natural landscape that's closer to here - maybe because it feels more familiar.

Yes, it is a little weird, but it's also a great way to spend a weekend outside without going too far.
