That's one thing i'll miss once we move down there......CUTTING our douglas fir christmas tree.
We have a family tradition of going to a tree farm in September, with shorts and a t shirt on, and tag our tree.
Then, on the weekend after Thanksgiving, we go cut it, drag it through the woods, and bring it home.

There is nothing like a fresh cut christmas tree.

I am assuming that there are no christmas tree farms in florida, and all trees are trucked in from up north....am I right??

I guess once we are down there, we will decorite the palm trees......

Frank D.

Back to the post... What I like from our area is that simple people that still lives here. The older crowd is friendly and helpful. They enjoy life and are active members of our community.... Again I called this place paradise for 10 years....

Hello Frank !!

Actually many of the groves that got ruined from the frost in the northern part were replaced by Christmas tree farms..
