Please list what you persive as Florida's greatest advantages.
For me not having a state income tax, great weather most of the year (no snow), friendly community, and available good paying jobs makes this state my primary choice.

The tourism market is huge, we all at some point benefit from it.
This keeps the economy going, just multiply the average amount of money a tourist will drop in the local economy: $200 x 23,000,000 = lots of money....
Quarter One Visitor Numbers for 2007
Visitors Percent of Total Most Recent Value Change
Total Visitors 100.0%
January-March
23.0 million* -0.9%
Air Visitors
54.7%
January-March
12.6 million* -1.3%
Non-Air Visitors
45.3%
January-March
10.4 million* -0.5%
Found the figures:
Total Tourism Spending (Tourism/Recreation Taxable Sales) 1999-2006:
1999 - $44.6 billion
2000 - $48.5 billion
2001 - $48.6 billion
2002 - $49.5 billion
2003 - $51.5 billion *
2004 - $57.1 billion
2005 - $62.0 billion
2006 - $65.0 billion

Cheap golf
Awesome thunderstorms (unless I'm behind the wheel )
Disney
Cheap car registration
Less air pollution than Baltimore (even when it's very hot in Fla. I don't feel like I can't breathe)
Ocean water is warm
No capital beltway!!!

I don't want to disappoint you but Baltimore's air quality is better then most of Florida, water also. Baltimore air quality is actually almost 4 times better then Fort Lauderdale and Miami.
