I agree 100%, but first the numbers are wrong, its around 25 million and second, they are trying to convince people they are helping our country, if you believe this then you need to go out with them.

Also, people are forgetting the different between legal and illegal.

I just cannot imagine how angry I would be if I waited for years, paid thousands of dollars and did everything legally, just to see people skip all that and enjoy the same benefits. It's sickening, actually.

It took my family 4 years of enduring paper work and at least one thousand dollars per person (in Cuba that is a huge sum of money), for us to come LEGALLY to this country. I am just amazed how all these illegals just want amnesty. Of course, they want the easy way out. "jump the fence, pay no taxes, and now a speedy ride to citizenship"......WAKE UP AMERICA!!

I am 100% against illegal immigration. Having said that, I naively thought immigrants, legal or illegal, were primarily utilized in Florida. I had difficulty accepting that Americans would not do the jobs the illegals or legals do. . . until I read article after article after article from employers all over the US about how their business would shut down if they did not have immigrants.

Every article I read said all the immigrants used had work visas, BUT that there was no doubt in any employer's mind work visas are available on the black market.

One employer, for example, is a big farm in Kentucky. He said he has tried and tried to hire American workers to fill the jobs, but can't find anyone who wants to do the labor. Another was a cleaning service for office buildings--same story.

I read how immigrants come across the border, get into vans and are transported throughout the entire US--not just Florida.

I am perplexed that Americans won't fill the jobs. I understand the wages are lower. We have hired some college students for our business, and they want at least $10 an hour. The wages for immigrants are less than this.

I honestly have thought immigrants are taking away the work. Perhaps I am wrong and need a shift in thinking.

I second that...
I am a legal immigrant, first generation, and I am an advocate STRICTLY against illegal immigration, no matter what circumstances or for whatever reason.
It's all a privilege, and not a "demanding" right!
But, as long as the US government doesn't lay out the rules and laws, everyone will have to obay by, things and illegals will run amok!
But then on the other hand.....our own government chooses to ignore, follow and enforce laws now as it is...
Go the the Topic called "Immigration", and see what's going on there.....(It will shock and blow your mind.....very informative, indeed!!)

They want to stay under the radar and the employers don't pay insurance, tax, SS or anything on the employes not to mention they underpay them because they know the workers have no choice. Forget the immigrant, the employer s are the real criminals. As far as Americans not wanting the jobs, get some of those on welfare over there and put them to work. The real fact is, once the immigrant doesn't have to be under the radar anymore, they won't want those jobs either.

Once legal, they will want your job and those other jobs will still be filled by the next wave of illegals. This is a cycle that can only be broken by going after the employers. Fine them 10's of thousands or close them down all together and watch how fast they straighten up. This is really an easy fix if someone had the balls.

Default Just in from President of Mexico

The President of Mexico, Calderon, has announced that Mexico will not participate in the Summer Olympics.

He said that, "Anyone who can run, jump, or swim has already left the
country."

Default Kappy...

Thanks. If that wakes us up, we need to go to link while we can still do something about this. They will be voting this week and we are a few votes short. If we do nothing and let this happen, we have no one to blame but ourselves. It's the final push gang, do something to keep America as great as we know her. It's irreversible if we don't stop this.
