Pretty small. Not much going on there since they moved the county seat to Port St. Joe.

Agree with previous poster.
I love their Honey Festival.
Don't move to Wewa if you want the beach, though.
Do a search, Wewa has been discussed here before.

Still quiet, but on the coast. It was a depressed area for awhile after the paper mill shut down. I drove through there a year ago and there's not much there. Maybe it has gotten better.

Port St. Joe is a cute little town with only 2 stoplights. It is TINY. Like any small town, it has pros and cons. Do not move to PSJ if you are single! It is really a place for married people. There are very few single people there, so meeting someone would be next to impossible. Also, know that with a town that size comes the "high school-ish like" gossip on every age and economic level. If you don't have a job there already, you most probably won't be able to find one. When positions are available there, they usually go to locals who are "connected". But it is cute and safe. If you have kids, the schools grade high for Florida public schools, but they lack in a lot of areas, so you would want to hire an after school tutor from Tallahassee or Panama City.

Ferret is right, the mill closed about 10 years ago, and PSJ is trying to redefine itself, with some success, but the housing market crash hit hard. Now would be a good time to peruse real estate there.
Agree with most of what Lizzy said.
The high school is what you make of it.
My son graduated from there in 2007. Everyone from his soccer team went on to college, several of them to Ivy League schools.
