Default ? about staging thread

I know there was a thread not too long ago about staging, and now I can't find it. We are presenting our house to a realtor tomorrow and going to put a sign up to "see" what happens.

Can any of you help bump up the thread?

Thanks!!!!

Default staging

I went to the search tab on the top of the page, and just typed in staging. There are about 4 threads talking about it, most very long.
I remember I read an article on AOL not too long ago and bascially staging has to do with getting rid of clutter, making your home bigger looking etc. The article even suggested renting a storage space if necessary to store your "cluttter". The article also mentioned staging appearing on the HGTV network. Perhaps you could find out more from them. We are going to put ours house up for sale after the first of the year and may end up renting a storage space since we are pack rats and have a lot of stuff. The article came from Move.com so perhaps you can check there and search for staging.
Hope that helps a little.

Good luck.

Smile staging

Get your hands on real estate selling information at real estate offices, libraries.......... Also, there are plenty of web sites.....just type in something like how to sell a house, house selling tips, real estate secrets for sellers, and so on. I wish you luck.

Thanks,

We actually had a realtor come in last Monday, and I asked him what else I needed to do to "stage" the house, and he said you can't stage a house that is already staged.

I was specifically looking for info on the scents to use, I know baking cookies is good, but if I do that, than I will have to eat them and that will not be good.

This weekend we will be throwing down the mulch, doing the touch-up on some paint and then put the sign up!
