Have you visited Florida? Florida is very different when you live here than when you are on vacation at Disney or at the beach. If you are coming from the West Coast be ready for a culture shock! Things are expensive here- groceries, car and house insurance, medical, private school [which you would want to consider]. I am not trying to say everything is bad- but I am disappointed in the employment- including Tampa which was just rated a city where employment options are scarse, and if you do not believe me look at all the houses that are up for sale and in forclosure. People are leaving their houses behind, unsold. It is very difficult to get established here. That is my families personal opinion. And oh yeah. This was rated the worst place to live if you have allergies a couple of years ago. And my son has paid the price and I know it is true. We could not visit the beach for two years because of the red tide which makes your eyes sting and nose run.... read up on it and just be careful and have open eyes. you may want to have a job first. then that will help you decide where to live.
good luck.
we are out of here.
