Ok KBTexan, let me understand exactly what you are saying here. Apparently someone was holding a gun to your head and forced you to buy an Adams Home..... of which, had no upgrades. Is that what I'm understanding? If you wanted a home with numerous upgrades you could have had it. If you knew what product Adams Homes provided at the time, then why did you buy knowing you wouldn't be happy? As for your dollar being worthless, how does that rest on the shoulders of your builder? As far as I'm concerned it rests on the shoulders of the government and lending institutions not controlling who they lent billions of dollars to. I have a sneaky suspicion that if your home had increased in value since your purchase that you would be singing a different tune. I think you need to look in a mirror (I assume Adams provided those for you) in this so called "cheap home". Man up and take responsibility for your actions, whether they are right or wrong. You weren’t ripped off by Wayne Adams, you as a grown up made a conscious decision to purchase a home and now regret it. You aren't the only one in this boat, but you may be one of a very few who blame their builder for their current financial struggles.

What is your job position with Adam's?

My position with Adams is as nothing more than a 2 time satisfied buyer/owner. Bought and sold one in Orlando and now one in Charlotte County. Why do you ask? Was I being to realistic? I just get sick of people not taking responsibilty for their actions. I too got in a little over my head with jumping on the real estate bandwagon. However I never once blamed it on my builder and/or real estate agent for misleading me.

Default Poor Me KBTexan

I guess Adams made you purchase when and where you did, I guess they held you hostage until you signed the contract, I am sure you were smart enough to shop around, and YOU decided to buy an Adams Home. Are you saying you were not smart enough?

Adams must build a great home since zigge and sea-nile both registered with this forum just to refute the posts of others.
Nothing else on this forum interests them enough to post about it though only Admas Homes.
They even look back months at a time to see what was posted about Adams to make sure they didn't miss anything.
They don't work there though, they just really love their homes.

Default Peterson

I post when I see something being said or done that is one sided, and KBTexan is one sided, so yes I like Adams Homes, and yes I think they are trying their best in these hard times to give people the most home for the least price, if you can afford a custom builder then by all means thats great for you, but there are those of us who cannot, and we want to get alot of square feet with quality, and if the fluffy stuff isn't there then maybe we will be able to afford to do it later, at least we have a nice quality home to start with. So yes this did interest me.

Default Adams home Question

We are building an Adams home in North Carolina and have discovered that the dimensions on the floor plan that we signed were a misprint and the blue prints that they are building the house off of are a lot different. The Total sq footage is the same but is not in the Living room, Dining room, Bedroom #2, and Master bedroom as the floor plan shows that we contracted them to build. I have been very frustrated with the customer service that I have recieved over this problem from the Regional sales manger. Does anyone know of a phone # or Email for someone above these people in the company that I can contact? Does anyone else besides myself feel like this is a large problem?
Thanks for your help

The biggest proponents of Adams in this thread also have very limited post counts. There are other Adams threads that you can check.
