my parents are planning on moving from Wisconsin to Florida. They'll move if we can find a good 2 story house in a good/safe area. Does anyone know a website or something that has good houses for sale in Florida in safe neighborhoods? Please help me out! I really want to leave Wisconsin but i can't if i can't persuade them to!

We need more information.

Jobs, school age kids, housing budget? Beach?

There are plenty of areas of Florida that are safe. You need to narrow it down so we can give better information.

I agree. Though there are some preliminary choices based on the criteria of safe and good schools (assuming your school age). Within the parameters of safe I'm including areas that are lower risk for direct hit from hurricanes.

North Pinellas County - Check out Tarpon Springs, Palm Harbor, Oldsmar, Safety Harbor and extreme
NE Clearwater. Close to Tampa, St Petersburg and Clearwater. Very close to the beaches. Excellent schools. Low Crime. The second largest metro area in the state so plenty of options in terms of work/play.

Northern St Johns County - Check out North St Augustine, World Golf Village and Ponte Vedra Beach. Close to Jacksonville and the beaches. Excellent schools and very low crime.

Central Brevard County - Check out Viera, west side of Rockledge and West Melbourne. Close to Orlando and the beaches. Excellent Schools and lower crime. It has the lowest population of the three areas mentioned. On the quieter side.

well. my parents have nursing degress so a job in nursing would be good for both of them. I'm a freshmen in highschool but i want to move before my softmore year that starts up in september 2010. Not really sure about the budget but we need a nice 2 story house in a safe neighborhood. it doesn't need to be fancy but it does need to be a good area.

The nursing degrees will help IF they can get their liceneses transferred.

You haven't really narrowed it down much. Can you get your parent(s) to join the forum?
