i am in the same exact position as you. i moved here from new york in august to attend dsc at flagler... the campus is literally a joke. my first semester was terribly boring because everyone there is wrapped up in their own lives and aren't interested in making new friends or having a college experience. this semester i split it up, on tuesdays and thursdays i drive down to daytona for class all day and mon/wed i take a morning class at flagler and i'm much happier. driving down to daytona takes up quite a bit of gas but it's worth it because it's an actual college campus with actual things to do. i still don't have any friends, but still.

I really have to wonder, why are so many young people moving to Palm Coast? Did you not come down before you moved? Did you look at any other cities as well?

In all the cities in all the states to move to, there are approx 105,100 cities that are a better choice than PC

i've been here before moving here but i didn't have a choice because this is where my grandma is. she loves it here, but thats because she's a quiet person and never ever goes out and does stuff, and she likes that all the shopping is close by and that there's a russian market close by as well. if i had a choice i would have moved somewhere more urban and fast paced.

Default Sections in Palm Coast

I have read that the sections in Palm Coast are for their street names.
B section the streets start with the letter B. Is there any other meaning to this. Are there better areas than others. Is there retirement areas and sections with families with children. Are there rental communities, golf communities. How do I know which one is for me. And how are the schools?

There are dozens of threads regarding Palm Coast on this forum with all the information you want. Why not look at them first?

Good Luck!

Yes, the P section is considered the ghetto and some of the other ones are better than others

There are big retirement and golf communities but usually expensive. Hammock Dunes, Plantation Bay, Halifax Plantation

Yeah, avoid P, R, Z, U, B and S. C is probably best but look out for duplexes, E, and L are ok, but look out for rentals in both areas and duplexes in E. F and W next but again look out for duplexes and rentals. Best choice if you have to come here is a gated community. If I could do it over again, I would not come here but it still beats Volusia County. St Augustine may be a better choice. Better yet, stay where you're at. If you're a young person, don't bother coming here. No jobs. If you're a student, there are better choices up north. Years ago, I left USF to go back to Ohio State because at USF, I didn't even bother going to class and had a 4.0. But, I didn't learn a thing and the campus was sterile.

Default Welcome to NY

Never lived in NY but now that I live in Palm Coast I certainly feel like I do. All I hear is their ugly accents, rude manerisms, rude responses, stupid rules and regulations, ect ect. You'll love Palm Coast if you like to live around A holes.

All depends what situation your in. My sister lives there with her husband and 2 kids and thinks it's the bets place in the world for their lifestyle. I lived there single for 2 years and it was a rough time for me. I wouldn't live there again. I ended up in Sarasota and married and couldn't be happier.
