What city are you from and how long have you lived there?
If you have lived in multiple cities, which one(s) and how long please? I would be interested to know where you all are from ( cities ). In 2001, I moved to Debary, Florida. Its halfway in between Orlando and Daytona on I'4.
I like the small town feel but I am still close enough to get to the beach, Disney, shopping etc. The traffic here is reasonable but I fear that will change before long. I LOVE Florida and I hope you do too. |

WE HAVE BEEN HERE A LITTLE OVER 2 YEARS NOW AND IT IS PARADISE. WE LIVE IN CITRUS SPRINGS WHICH IS ABOUT 75 MILES NORTH OF TAMPA ON THE GULF SIDE. WE ARE NEAR CRYSTAL RIVER ABOUT 15 MILES FROM THE GULF. WE LOVE IT HERE AND WHEN WE LEFT HAMTRAMCK MICHIGAN IN DECEMBER WE SAID GOOD BYE FOREVER. COULD GET SOME RELIEF FROM TAXES AND INS. OR I WILL HAVE TO WORK PART TIME. STILL LOVE IT. |

I am 39, born and raised in Miami. In 1990 my father and I built my home in Key Largo, and I moved here just before hurricane Andrew. The only Florida-Born that I know of in this area.

I am 37 , originally from a small town in NH. I moved to Florida 18 years ago. I lived in Bradenton for 14 years and now live in Sarasota for the past 4 years. If i were coming here for the first time all over again I would grow a taproot in orlando. Orlando has so much to offer, it is just a blast to go visit and hang out in.

25 year old born in Fort Lauderdale,Florida. Lived most of my childhood in a small town in north Florida called Live Oak. Eventually I ended up in Ocala, Florida which has been my home for about 10 years know. If I were to move to another area in Florida it would probably be Orlando. Most likely a smaller town within a nice commute to the city limits of Orlando. Many people are put off with the crime of Orlando but i'm not and its really nothing to me. No need to live your life within a shell or constant paranoia. Plus I am familiar with those areas because of growing up in lower income areas.

Lived in Ft Walton Beach/Destin (panhandle area) from 1995-1997, left due to poor jobs. Loved the area, though, just couldn't afford it. Moved to Ft Lauderdale in 2001, hated it, moved to Tampa 2003 and still here. Like Tampa a lot. Used to live in Dallas, Houston, Baton Rouge, New Orleans, Mobile AL, and Phoenix. I'm probably relocating back to the SW in December, but not due to any negative reasons. I really like the Tampa Bay area, the people are friendly.
