Especially in North Port. Why is this?

There are tons of homes in North Port . If You just drove through on Tamiami, or hwy 41 , it is just businesses . Take any of the main streets off the main drive and you will see plenty of homes and subdivisions .

can you please elaborate on what you mean? All I see is home after home being built around here, especially North Port. Have you ever driven down Toledo Blade? Every homebuilder known to man has a model home there

There are just alot of empty lots there. I didn't mean Northport, I just meant north Port Charlotte (I thought they were the same thing). It's also very empty in the SW area of Port Charlotte.

There are a lot of areas in Port Charlotte that are not allowed to be built on due to scrub jay law & zones. You will see lots that look like they can be built on & even for sale, but no development is allowed b/c that is a natural habitat for the scrub jay.
