I agree.........
It's unreal people give advise on states I bet they have never been in. Those states would rank far below Florida for this OP thoughts and by a longshot !

The OP sounds like it is right out of "Jesus Land," a book I just read, that was set in Indiana. The book was chilling, as is the OP.

yeah, if you don't think Indiana is conservative/christian enough, Florida isn't going to suit you either.
and I agree that this post is unsettling! what the heck!?

Since the OP hasn't responded, I am thinking someone is just stirring the pot here.

I wonder. Believe it or not, "Jesus Land" is a true story.

We love Florida, and our current place of living does not have the values we consider important.
We live in Southern Indiana, have for six years, and feel that often the values do not coincide with ours.
I homeschool our kids, so schools aren't an issue. My husband is a contractor specializing in commercial building, and has no trouble usually finding work.
We're looking for a small, rural to suburban town that has the same values we do, and is mostly conservative in ideas. A nearby strong Christian (Baptist or Pentecostal) church is also needed. Honestly we'd prefer a mostly white population as well, just a personal preference. Our lives are deeply rooted in God and Jesus, so we want a place to raise our kids with less of the toxins that exist in the world.
My husband can possibly work in these towns that we are interested in.
-- Arcadia;
-- Spring Hill;
-- Inverness;
-- Lehigh Acres.
Any thoughts? Other suggestions welcome.
God Bless,

Lake Mary, FL is very conservative. So is Winter Springs, Wekiva, etc etc.
Most of Northern Florida is pretty conservative... much safer and cheaper to live too!
As long as you stay away from: Orlando, Kissimmee, Poinciana, and ANYWHERE IN SOUTH FLORIDA, you will be fine.
There are lots of good Bible-based Baptist churches in Florida, so you will be fine there. No nonses like churches who "update The Bible" or the pastor just makes up stuff since it is not in The Bible. Usually in Southern Bapist churches, there is oversight and individual churches cannot just "make stuff up".
God bless you guys!

I think you may be better off moving to a less libertine, secular state.
Have you thought about Idaho?

As a Christian, I'm curious why you prefer one race over another. Jesus Christ was not white, so you may want to consider living amongst middle easterners if you wish to live your lives as close to Christ as possible.
In all seriousness though, I was reared in the greater Cincinnati area which includes south eastern Indiana. The Cincinnati suburbs in Indiana and Kentucky are almost exclusively white and towns like that will be few and far between in the state of Florida. Good luck, God bless, and please be more considerate and open minded if you plan on moving anywhere in the southeastern U.S.

Oh this wall can get scary and potentially offensive. An all-white, Bible-thumping town, conservative to the extreme most likely, and in Florida. Might I suggest the Midwest, Montana, Colorado, or even the "Dixie states." I'm sure there's pockets of communities like that here. Being Jewish and gay (that's already two strikes against me in your eyes)...I most likely would not go there, but that's what you're looking for. LOL.
Good luck.
to the person who said Winter Springs, Wekiva, and Lake Mary would fit into this category....I respectfully disagree with that. I live in Orlando and are familar enough with its suburbs.

I think the original post might have been just for kicks.....the awful thing is that some people responded to it positively and offered advice. That is pathetic. Jesus washed the feet of the poor and the lepers....and he was from the mid-east. How in the world did you get racism and Christianity all confused and perverted like that?
