Am I missing something? A swarm of lovebugs is indicative of "paradise lost"? A nuisance to be sure, but they don't sting, spread disease, or otherwise harm humans!

Yep, Cicadas are here in NY as well.

They are loud and are pretty big. They seem to die often though as I usually end up seeing more than a few dead on the ground (had to push a dead one out of my driveway the other day).

Hey man..i usually get on to New Yorkers on here but i believe ya and am happy to see a humble reponse about this subject....this is one time i will take the out of state peoples' side.......Love bugs are nothing to worry about
