Naples is pretty close to the glades. You get the right breeze and you can't go out of the house. I hate it there.

Driving from Lauderdale to Naples on the Alley will leave your car COVERED in those critters! Last spring, my entire grill was BLACK with those damn things.

their nasty, they take the paint off your car, fly in your mouth, get in your hair and they swarm in the hundreds and hundreds, they were in our pool, our filters, we had to put towels under the door of our lanai cause they were crawling in under the tiny little spaces... i wish i could get the pic of them from my cell phone.. i took a pic of our screen completely and utterly blacked out from them could see through the screen at all.. its sickening.

I have never even seen a roach here, let alone a sworm of lovebugs like that! I find that when I see them, they just fly away from you. Hope you find NH better for the bugs, but I find that every time I see my family up north, they are always running into little critters (And big critters!) inside their homes. Maybe i'm just lucky.

Paradise is what you make of it, for the birds those bugs are paradise. More bugs means more birds in my yard which to me equals paradise as I love birds.
Some people would hate all of the birds because they **** all over everything.
I don't like it but it washes off and those bugs can be killed easy.
I hope that you have not summed up living in "paradise" by the amount of bugs there are. When we lived in Nassau, Bahamas (most people think the Bahamas is paradise) we had ants swarming in our house (thousands of them) crawling up the walls and lots palmetto bugs in the yard the size of the palm of a child's hand.
That was not a big deal, it was of more concern to me the number of murders, rapes and poverty just over the hill.
I hope you like living in NH better, it is lovely there.

The bugs don't bother me, they are just love bugs. It would bother me more to see a code inspector at the door, you can't spray those away.

this is just the tip of the insect iceberg in southwest florida. atleast these arent dangerous.
lets not even get into the black widow spiders that have a knack for hiding in mailboxes in cape coral, the brown recluse spiders, snakes,
and fireants that will devour you alive if you dare sit on a lawn that hasnt been chemically treated.
