The heat index Monday soared to above 100 degrees. Orange County's Health Department issued a warning, saying people need to be wary of heat exhaustion and stroke.

It only takes a short time outside to become overwhelmed and the department is urging people to do drink plenty of water and stay inside or in the shade.

What are you doing to stay cool ?

Cool drink?

........working outside . I'm back inside now, but it's getting nice and overcast, so it's tempting to go back out.

It's all good. I'll get heat cramps just before I pass out, so there's some warning........

I live 200 feet from the ocean, trust me, there's no cool breeze coming in here. It's 86 outside right now, and feels horrible~ Inside it's also 86, so there's no escape from it.

This summer aint nothing compared to 98.

It got so hot it kilt a boy over in Waldo.

He was out workin in his corn field in the afternoon and it got so hot all the corn started popping pop corn off the stalk.

He thought it wuz snow and froze to death before he could get back to the barn.
