[/b]Does anyone know how the printing industry is in Ormond Beach or Port Orange? We're probably going to move to one or the other and would like to know how difficult it will be to find a job.

No large printers but a lot of quick print shoppes. You might need to look toward orlando or Jax for something.

There are almost 40 listings for printers and several for publishers in the Daytona area phone book. The local newspaper, Daytona Beach News-Journal also publishes the Pennysaver. The Ormond Printers have been in business for decades and might be able to steer you to something.

MyFlorida.com has several job search engines.

Good Luck!

I am graphic designer and live in deltona. I was looking for job in Ormond Beach and unfortunatelly there is no job at all. There are many family businesses, they do not hire anybody. Even if you get some work the paid is around 9$ per hour in Orlando is a litlle bit better, a litlle bit more work but pay is the same.

Default Dme

There is a large printing and direct mail company in Daytona Beach called DME (Direct Marketing Express). They do a good amount of business, and are often hiring. Their website is DME - Targeted, One-to-One Direct Marketing with Trackable Results!.
There is also a Digital/Offset plant called Digital Press Inc. in Port Orange. They are an up and coming company. Their website is Digital Press Online - Full color business card printing, postcards, posters, flyers.

There are a bunch more, if you type in PRINTING in the yellow pages.

Hope this helps!
