Good morning! I am planning on relocating to FL and am totally confused about changing my title from PA to FL as well as registration fees. I own (car totally paid for and title in hand) my small 4 door sedan (2003).
First off, do I have to change my address on my PA title before I get to FL? Meaning that I have moved in PA but have not changed to my new address yet. Or can I just take the title down to FL and they will take care of it? Is it true that I need to change my PA title to a FL title? If so, how much does that cost?
I have done some research and found out that the registration costs $225 to change over to FL law. Is this correct? Do I get this done at the driver's license center? Will I have to take a written and/or driving test to change my PA license to a FL one? How much does that cost (to change from a PA to a FL license)?
ANY assistance would be greatly appreciated! Thank you kindly!

I took my car title, registration, driver license, and proof of residency (lease, utility bill) to the DMV and had it all done at once. If I recall correctly, it was around $225 per car for everything (license, tag, registration, title).

We moved here in June of 2013, and the registration for our car was $400 ! Fortunately it is only that high for the initial registration.

it's going to be more than $225...call the tax collector in the county you're moving to...they will give you exactly what you'll pay. You also need FL ins on the car before they will do anything at the tax collector.
