Rockledge
We are moving to Rockledge soon. Does anyone have any opinions as to which area of town is better to live in? We are trying to decide between a house in the North part of Rockledge and one in the South part of Rockledge. Also, any opinions on which elementary and middle schools are better?
Thanks!

Rockledge
I have lived in the Cocoa/Rockledge area for almost 40 years. You definitely want to live as far south in Rockledge as possible, closer to Viera than Cocoa. Neighborhoods are nicer, schools are better, crime is lower, etc.
I have never been "terrorized" by someone of my own or another race, as someone said on a similar thread, but I know of very few Cocoa PD officers who actually live in the city in which they work. Cocoa has probably the highest crime rate in the county, while Rockledge's is probably the lowest.

We live in Levitt Park in Rockledge and currently have our home on the market, we are moving to Tennessee because of my husband's work. The neighborhood is a good, I have had my kids in Golfview Magnet school since they started 4 years ago, the teachers are wonderful there. I just hope with the real estate market down that we can sell our home so we can relocate.

I agree the closer you get to Viera the safer you will be.

How is homeowners insurance over there. I'd love to head over that way myself someday but fear homeowners insurance.

Ive seen some between 2,000-3,000 a year home owner insurance thats not home owner association dues. HOA depends on what subdivision you are. we pay around an 100 a month for our dues.
