i agree but its definitely harder or easier depending on where you go.

not too many options in a place with little resources and no industry

The amount of options all depend on how resourceful, independent and determined one is.

The amount of options depends on what you have to work with, and how much time you get to do it. If you are constantly fighting, or struggling nothing good will ever happen.

Tell that to these people:

USAID: Haiti (http://www.usaid.gov/policy/budget/cbj2006/lac/ht.html - broken link)

To say that the success of a population is not dependant on available resources is both selfish and ignorant. I am happy that there are people who can think only about their own situation and not those of the others around them. Florida is speeding down the road to the third world and no amount of denial will stop it.

No, Florida has the I think I have, and the have nots, Some areas are very wealthy. But most just like to think they are. You can tell the think I have's, They try to impress each other. The very wealthy don't have to.

I think that's true everywhere, actually--the noveau riche (or wannabe nouveau riche) vs. old money

Correct me if I'm wrong, but is the market slightly better in Boca/WBP/Fort Laud. than Miami?
