2007 Toyota Tundra (full coverage), 98 Grand prix (liability only) and 86 Conquest (liability only) pay $140 a month ($1650 a year)for all 3 with clean records all around through Liberty Mutual. We are in West Central FL.
We've had the Hartford and Progressive but their rates kept going up every year for no reason. We were told by one of them that the insurance rate went up based on our location as far as the number of accidents reported within our zip code area which to me is not fair at all. We never had an accident or claim yet we have to pay for everyone elses faults.

We have Progressive and pay 900 per year for a 2003 Hyundai Elantra and 2003 Chrysler Town and Country van. We own both vehicles outright so don't have to carry the 100/300 we needed when they were financed.
We had Sunshine State Insurance for a while too, but their rates when up so we picked up Progressive. We also haven't had a ticket since 2001 (knock on wood) and no accidents ever (been driving since 1996).
Hope this helps!

(He also has 100/300 coverage). If you own your cars outright, you don't have to take as much insurance.
I have 100/300 coverage on a 2005 Nissan Murano and pay $94/month with Allstate. My premium went down about $50/month after I hit 25 and got over the "three year" accident premium this past May! (I think my car is still "registered" in Leon County, however.... so not sure if it's going to go up or down in Palm Beach County... probably up since zip code is part of the "premium formula")!

Ouch, those speeding tickets and car accident sure killed his insurance rate, he also must be really young.
Thanks.

I still drove during those years in NY (friend & family cars, rentals, etc.), but just because I did not have insurance, they treated it this way.
It would probably be a good idea to start making some calls to insurers explaining your situation and find out the details.

When we moved to Canada from Nassau, they did use our Bahamian insurance history as credit for us and didn't count is as a lapse because we did have insurance, even though it was in another country.

My brother in law pays $300/per month for his 2006 Nissan Xtrerra. He used to drive a Mustang Cobra and a Firebird, monthly insurance payment was almost $500! He was paying over 1200 a month between ins and loan payments. That is totally INSANE!!!
He racks up the points every year with speeding tickets, wreckless driving, accidents. I wish they would take his license away...he doesn't take it seriously. ps. He's 30 years old, he should know better by now...

Yes, good point, I think the worse thing to do would to have any lapse in insurance. This would kill our future rates. I can just pay the part payment instead of paying the entire amount like I normally do. I will call my insurance company and find out how many days I have.
Thanks.

That is really low, especially with the low deductibles.
Thank you.

That is a good rate.
Thank you.
Thanks to all that helped. I sure hope we can get a decent rate.
