Hi everyone,
My hubby and I are thinking of driving to Florida Panhandle area for our 1st anniversary!!! We are looking for nice beaches, nightlife, and day time activities (we love outdoor activities).
Any suggestions on what places to go to for a romantic anniversary?
Thanks in advance!!

It really depends on what you like to do, Pixie!
There is a resort area in Destin/Sandestin called Baytown Wharfe built on the Chocktawhatchee Bay that is nice, restaurants and so forth right there and I think you can rent golf carts to scoot around the resort. There is (or was) also a trolley that connected the Bay side of the resort to the Beachside.
Grayton Beach, also in South Walton County, is very laid back. Good food, not much in the way of clubbing, but beautiful beach.
Panama City Beach is where you want to go if you want to go clubbing. There are seriously big dance clubs (LaVela, Spinnaker) there. The Grand Panama is a newer condo right on the beach with a pool complex and very, very pretty.
Happy Anniversary!

Since you mentioned outdoor activities, I'd recommend the beaches of South Walton. Seaside in particular, is incredibly unique (the first "new urbanist" town) and everyone rides bikes- in fact the whole area of 30A has bike trails throughout each "town" and around the coastal dune lakes. We were there this last summer and I cannot wait to go back one day. It's far more family oriented than PCB, but there's quite a few nice bars and lots of people still out in the evenings.
