Hey All,
I REALLY would like to know about how much workers make in Florida that work at Walmart. Im Asking because my BF works in Jersey at Walmart and makes $8 an Hour. I want to see if he transfers down there to the Kissimmee/Orlando one how much would u make there?? I Really would love if someone could answer that Actually Works there or Knows someone. He currently works out in the Lawn and Garden, but any info would be Helpful. I would Like to know if Transferring would be useful or go totally elsewhere job wise. PLEASE HELP!!
Thanks sooo much for your Info!!

I'm going to say the pay will probably be around the same.

The minimum wage in Florida is 7.25, so That would be a worst case scenario. Sorry I don't live or work there but thought that info might help you.

Companies like Walmart don't typically lower someone's wage he'll probably make the same amount.

I worked there for two years and ended my run at $8.15. I also didn't see any of that bonus money as stated in the post above me.

He might have to take a pay cut depending on the situation..If he's making minimum wage there, he will be making it in FL which will be lower.. If he has had a raise since he has been at wal mart then they will add that in down in FL.. so 7.25/hr + whatever kind of raise he's had during his wal mart employment

If he did have to take a pay cut and go to 7.25/hr FL minimum wage, then tell him to go on overnight shift and he will earn a extra dollar an hour for that, putting him at 8.25...I work at wal mart so I had this same plan..

Try for a transfer and maybe he might be able to keep the $8 he makes now. They usually start out at minimum which I think is $7.25 an hour. They hire part time employees for the most part.

Is this an inter company transfer or is he just going to come down and apply for a job at a Walmart?.
If he does it on his own he maybe surprised to find out its not a given that he will just walk into a Walmart here and land a job right away as times are tough.
Expect minimum wage to start,,.
Good points about working on the night shift.

Why anyone would choose to shop or work at Walmart is beyond me.
