If you had the money to live anywhere
If you had the money to live anywhere in FLORIDA you choose, anywhere with no money issues at all, where would it be?
Only in Florida and if you had all the money you needed to live in your choice location where please?

Definitely an estate in southern Portugal or perhaps in the Pelopponesos region of Greece.
Oh sorry, the US ... well, San Francisco or somewhere in New England, or perhaps, and this may seem strange, but a US locale with real culture, a well-chosen place in Mississippi or Alabama, possibly Louisiana ...
... okay, Florida then ... On this line of thought, you may be right, macguy, a well-chosen place in panhandle northern Florida, which is actually the true south as compared to southern Florida.
In southern Florida, the Roads section of Miami, maybe Key Brickell or Key Biscayne.
Saint Augustine is also a good candidate.

Ft. Lauderdale or Sarasota
NE Fort Lauderdale, specifically the Coral Ridge area (off Bayview Drive), or Sunrise Intracoastal neighborhood, right behind the Galleria Mall off Sunrise Blvd. Something on the Intracoastal Waterway. One of those isles off Bayview preferrably.
On the Gulfcoast, hard to beat Sarasota for it's laid back lifestyle, beautiful beaches, and all the dining, shopping, and culture this town offers. Siesta Key most likely.

I would buy a time machine and go back to 1950. Then I would buy property in Dade or Broward and build a home.

I would still keep the house in Weston, but buy that farm I had my eye on in Gainesville. The winters there were just ... oops wait a minute - the connectivity out there was really bad ... hmm - okay, yes I would get the farm. And also, a place on the beach between Naples and Tampa. That makes 3 places, but that's okay since I have all this money. :-)
