Hi,
I am currently thinking about moving to Florida and wanted to find some more information about the teaching opportunities in FL. I am certified in Social Studies (5-12) and will have my masters in Special Education prior to the next school year. I read that Special Education is a critical shortage area in FL, like many states. What does the real job outlook look like? I have no set area, so I am open to most. Also, I have found teacher-teachers.com that has several teaching jobs posted, are there any other sites that I should be looking at?
Thanks for your help!

If you go into special education remember that area is mostly social work. Look at an IEP and that will let you know that curriculum is second compared to the behavior, attendance, assessments, services, department of rehab, ...

special ed has changed a lot...the vast majority of special education teachers are co-teaching learning disable kids in an integrated classroom with a general ed teacher. only the most severe kids are 'by themselves' anymore..
