Sorry, I meant to type state parks at the end. Oops! But, my view is that State Parks should be no different than National Parks. The point of both seemed to be the same. To ensure that protected land could not be developed and preserved for future generations to enjoy.

It will be interesting to see how this all plays out. Because as far as I see it, it is a PR nightmare...no matter who designs the golf course!

I thought thats what you might have meant, and you're right about protecting the land.
Seems to me this is just one more slap in the face to the people of Florida from seriously out of touch "leaders".

What else do you expect from a state with a scammer as governor? He should be in jail, not in the governor's office! He and his cabinet (aka Governor Voldemort and the Death-Eaters) won't be happy until they've plundered every penny, and defunded every program that helps anyone who isn't rich.

That's what happens when you privatize public services.

It's only the beginning. Voldemort and the Death-Eaters are out for their own profit, not the well-being of the state and its citizens.

I can. Too many seniors have been taken in by the Teabaggers. I look at them, holding their protest signs about government-sponsored healthcare being evil, and I want to pull the car over and ask then what the hell they think Medicare is!

You and me both.....kinda like cutting off your nose to spite your face.
I have wondered for quite awhile how long is was going to take for the retirees to reach critical mass here in Ocala.....seems as though that time has arrived.
Dont even get me started on the education cuts....I'm just glad my daughter is out of school.

Have you seen the Teabaggers who used to congregate by Chili's by the Wal-Mart on Rt 200 near 484? Or the dweezebrain with his pro-Palin signs (now he's promoting Palin/Bachmann in 2012) across from Winding Oaks on Rt 200? Incredible.

We're both retired, but as blue as they come.

That truly scares me. An uneducated workforce of the future? No, thanks.
