Yes, I have seen those people, as well as the ones on the Square downtown.
My daughter went to several counter-protests, as did I downtown, I was flat-out amazed at the hate those folk spewed at the counter-protesters.
One of them told my daughter that he hoped she got hit by a car.....I walked over and told the old goat what was what.
In my mind, this has gotten way beyond red/blue, its starting to reek of have/have not, young/old, you know?

It's your govornor. He is going to wreck the economy and tourist trade of Florida by ignoring its waterways and slicing the state environmental agencies to the bone.

It would not surprise me if he put a bounty of Florida's wildlife.

Florida is one of the most beautiful states and he is going to ruin it quickly. He's already started.

A few examples, please?

By getting rid of the septic tank law approved by the legislature last year, fighting hard to prevent the state from having to comply with EPA clean water regulations, cutting all beach renourishment funds from the budget. (say what you will about that program, it's estimated that every dollar the state spends on it returns $8 in tourism-related spending)

I thought I had seen it all politically, but the dung coming out of Tallahassee, Madison, Columbus, Lansing, and every other GOP controlled state is pure Orwellian. My God, is there anything they won't sell off or steal?

Eisenhower was a Republican, Teddy Roosevelt was a Republican, Lincoln was a Republican. What you have now are not Republicans-they're just corporate bootlicks, nothing more.

So, I decided to see what I could find about these examples of how evil Scott is as a governor. The septic tank deal was a bipartisan vote by the legislature to delay the implementation of the law that, by the way, another evil republican governor signed into law in the first place. Apparently many people felt it would put an unfair cost on homeowners at a time when they could least afford it and, just guessing, but these are probably the same people who are being raped by the political system and wealthy business owners. So, I guess a delay on the implementation was a win for the little guy. Anyway, Scott didn't even have to sign it into law. He only had to not veto it.

On the EPA thing, I read that the EPA decided to delay the implementation of the new rules and Scott agreed with that decision. Even the virtuous democratic Sen. Nelson supports putting off the new EPA rules for the time being. Apparently, the new rules will cost a fortune and kill jobs and probably not the jobs that the super rich have but the type that we poor nobodies have so, again, a win for the little guy. Mind you, no one is making it easier to pollute--to my knowledge there's been no easing of the current regs--but there is a question about the wisdom of implementing the new rules in this economy and killing jobs so I guess, you could say, that Scott is actually supporting the little people. Evil bast@rd!

Now, on the beach renourishment thing, it is true that his proposed budget did not include money for beach renourishment this time. I suppose he thinks we don't have the money---crazy! Anyway, he doesn't make the decision--it's a proposal. The legislature decides that so you can always call your friendly, neighborhood representative and tell them you won't vote for him/her unless they put money in there for the beaches but watch out! If they don't time the project just right, you might endanger the turtle nesting and then the environmentalists will be all over Scott for that.

I'm obviously playing around here but seriously, no politician of any stripe is ever going to make everyone happy, no matter how good they are. Lets at least keep the hyperbole to background noise levels.

I can't argue with that because I know, for most, there's an element of truth to it. Now let's look at the other side. Democrats get money from big companies who run them, unions who run them, and large donors who run them just like Republicans. Hmm...good point...
