Default Rural Central FL-Do you have huge amounts of spiders too?

We've always had spiders and other bugs anywhere we've lived in Florida. However, we moved to the Golden Triangle area about 7 months ago and I have never seen so many spiders. We have about 5-10 in the house daily. They are in all of the windows. As soon as I get one out another arrives. Our overhangs are constantly covered in webs and if you look at the grass you can see them running. I've watched them squeeze in right under the doors.

We're in a newer development that used to have cows and horses. There is also a good sized lake. I'm constantly checking the floors, the beds, the furniture. I'm always feling like I'm going to be bit.

I have a LOT of daddy long leggers. So many in my master bathroom that I don't use the room at all. We think they're coming down the vent. I vacuum every day and we're used pesticide on the lawn which I don't care to be doing.

Is it like this in the whole area? We're renting and our lease soons ends. I don't want to go to all of the trouble of moving if I'll have the same problem elsewhere.

TIA!!

OMG i've never heard of such a thing. We have spiders but i've rarely seen them in the home at all. I'm in W. Central FL. I'd be suspicious if there was a spider next outside, in the attic or very close to the home.

that sounds awful! I've only seen a few (mostly OUTside) since we moved in 3 weeks ago (from NJ). I'm north central FL, Ocala area, on a horse farm, and our spiders are that bad. Maybe you should should see if your lease would entitle you to extermination services? They have something they can spray around the exterior of the home that kills spiders, and is not toxic to dogs or cats. They used to spray it at the old horse farm I lived on in Jersey. They would spray every few weeks, and then we would see dead spiders, and that is much better than live ones!

Thanks for the replies.

I've talked to the landlord about it twice. They basically tell me to hire an exterminator. It's all I can do to get them to keep the grass cut as per our lease.

I've had two exterminators out that say nothing works for spiders. We've sprayed ourselves and found a few dead outside but still live ones coming in. I'd love to know the product that works for them. I'd buy it or have someone put it down.

I wanted to try to figure this out before we pay a lot of money to move.
