My family is relocating to Fl and we need a house to rent in the Lake Mary area before we buy. Approximately 4-5 bedrooms, 3-5 bathrooms, with pool. Anyone know of any or of an area we should be looking at? Can move in as early as mid November. Thanks for all your help.

I would avoid the older sections of town closer to 17-92 and focus on the Rinehart Road or Lake Emma Road corridors. If at all possible in your price range, look to the east side of I-4. If not, the Hills of Lake Mary (just to the west of I-4) would be my next pick. Be VERY careful of foreclosed or financially distressed properties. You should ask for a letter from the owner's lender stating that they are current on their mortgage. There are many such properties and no one should take offense for that request because of that.

we are planning to relocate to the florida area and have been checking out the lake mary area. But the town is rather small but after reading postings "safe"
If we do plan to settle in this area we will be looking for a small apartment 1 to 2 bedrooms for the time being until we purchase a house
A posting said to be careful of foreclosed financially distressed properties
Here in Wisconsin we find the best deals on foreclosed homes
Everything is happening faster then i thought and maybe in Florida area sooner then we thought.
Any information about the area
or the state
would be greatly appreciated
thanks, two newbies

The warning is about potentially renting a foreclosed property. Lake Mary, and the west side of Sanford are nice areas worth exploring. Without knowing your budget for renting, some apartment complexes you might want to check out are:

Plantation Lakes
Colonial Village
Westlake
Seminole Point
Arbor Lakes

All of these complexes are on the west side of Sanford bordering Lake Mary. They're all convenient to the mall/shopping, restaurants and I-4 but without the congestion of the Lake Mary Boulevard area which is the where most of the apartments in Lake Mary are located.
