Why do you want to come back?
From an earlier post of mine, this is why:

I grew up in the suburbs of NY and CT. Let me tell you, I did not have kids when I moved to Florida. Now that I do, I wish I would have stayed up north. Hurricanes, Sink Holes, Wildfires, Tornados, Sexual Predators, Crime, Poor Schools, Poor Healthcare, Traffic, Influx of non-english speaking people, Humidity,Alligators,Love Bugs,Homeowners Insurance Premiums, High Taxes with respect to the services you get for them, just to name a few. Not to mention last year Orlando was ranked the 25th most dangerous city to live in the U.S. Just recenlty (2007), Florida was ranked 43rd worst state for healthcare. I don't know off hand but I recall hearing that Florida was ranked low in education as well.

I thought I would never say this, but I miss the dramatic change in seasons up north as well. I miss the snow (especially durring the holidays). If you were raised up north and now live in Florida you know what I mean.

If and when I can find work back up north in Connecticut, I will absolutley go back! If you have an option to stay where you are, I would if I were you. It sounds like you live in a typical safe, small, town up north. In my opinion Florida is no place to raise children.

Remember, this is coming from someone who was born and raised up north and lived there for well over 25 years. Then moved to central florida and has been here for 5 years. I have somthing to compare this place to.
