Florida is like 4th in the nation for robbery. It seems as if virtually every convenience store in the state of Florida has been robbed at one point or another! Ocala is also a particularly crime-y town. Seriously, any other night job you can take?

Statically it is the twentieth most dangerous job you can have. You have a .9 % chance of dying on the job. In other words if you go to work 110 days in a row there is a chance you will die. I wouldn't do it for any amount. Another thing, I would bet that number is several times that high in Florida probably more dangerous then being a cop. We had good friends who had an argument with their daughter and she moved out. They said fine you can take care of yourself figuring it would be a learning experience for her. She got a job in a 7/11. She was killed only a few weeks after getting the job.

Chris, what about part-time retail? Those jobs are often available part-time for nights and weekends. It doesn't have to be for a fancy place, even automotive shops (Pep Boys, that kind of thing) have retail positions.
One of the best part-time jobs is Starbucks - part-timers even get benefits there . |
