I'd like to point out that that report is false and not true what so ever
they do not do a test like that and you certainly don't have the 6 out of 10 either
you go in a room with an immigration officer, he asks a couple of questions, one being what color is the american flag the flag was right behind him.
he asked how many states
How do I know well I did it this year
I became american this year originally from England,
not sure why that paper is giving out wrong info and making everyone who reads it that all immigrants have to do it like that
The process is very easy very easy indeed not only that so long as you can understand basic English then you pass
I'd like to point out that when I did the final cermony there were many people there who was still not speaking English,
we were told to stand there say the pledge andput hand on heart well many there never said the pledge, many there never put hand on heart which I thought was insulting for the new country we came to.
My wife who is american was fuming at the cermony and could not believe how disrespectful some were
we were given american flags and I saw two women throw it in the trash can outside after the ceremony

Isn't there some book you have to study like taking a drivers test? Also how long does it take from the time you apply? What is involved in that prosses?

Things have sure changed by what you say. When I grew up we always had an american flag on the wall and a picture of Washington and the current president. My father was very proud of becoming a citizen. He gained citizenship when he joined the army in the first world war. He and his two brothers joined up at the same time.

to Answer
well the process depends where you live for instance in Miami , boston and LA it will take longer than jacksonville because of the amount of people applying Takes about less than a year
right a book, I asked the immigration officer and there's a place on their website where it has the info and questions you could be asked
If i have time later I'll try and find it for you if you want
I studied hard because ,well I like to do good and show I have knowledge on my adopted country plus I study history
amount of questions I got asked only 5 , a friend who came from England got asked 3, it really depends on who the immigration offcier is and how you are in answering them . Like I said being asked what color is the flag when it's right behind him was strange
for instance
if you know and answer straight away, show you are knowledgeable then I believe but it's my guess that they won't ask as many where if you stumble and try to blag it then they might ask more.
OK the process well you have to I believe be a green card holder for either 3 or 5 years with no major convictions like armed robbery.
I know for one I am proud (adopted southerner) and keep the certicate and flag framed but I am honestly srprised how easy it was not only that it is expensive to do not including the travelling, phone calls etc
any other questions please feel free to ask
