Default I-77 and I-95 from Ohio to Florida

Anyone done this route recently? I've got a trip tik from AAA and it is taking me through West Virginia, Virginia, the Carolina's, Gerogia and Florida. Bypassing Atlanta. We've come this way before, but it was years ago. AAA shows construction in the Virginia tunnels. Anyone know how bad? And what about the fog (we encountered REALLY BAD fog through Virginia a couple of years back - any opinions on what time of day is best to beat that?)

Thanks in advance; we're headed down tomorrow (Tues) WOO HOO
