Default Crystal River, Homosassa Springs area

I am planning to move and open a marine electronics repair facility. Is this a good area to do that? How is the area?

Thank you.

There are definately enough boats in the area.
The overall area is good, I live about 15 minutes south of Homosassa.

I would say that it is a pretty good area for that type of business. Lots of lakes in Citrus county and you will have the Gulf of Mexico right there in Crystal River.
Like the previous poster said there are plenty of boats too. Over all I enjoy Citrus county more than I do Marion county (where I live).

Be prepared to pay the high impact fee on opening a new business. You may want to go just over the citrus county border to Hernanco county. This new impact fee has already chases off other potential buisinesses that wanted to open in this county.

Default Impact fees and new business

Check with CC permit dept before committing, if business is in a building, new or old, unless replacing an existing same size and type you will have impact fees. Might still be able to do it as a home business or out of the back your truck, as in Marine mobile, Twin Rivers Marina charges outside contractors to work on boats in their yard.
