What the hell? Best Florida city is Miami? Are you kidding me? Half the time, most people on this board are always downing Miami and now it's the best city? Some of yall are truly something else. Tampa or Orlando is definitely the best out of all the choices. I'm inclined to say Tampa because it is near the ocean. But I pick Orlando for the international airport (direct flights to the north/west U.S. and south america!), diversity (lots of asians/arabs), theme parks, and air quality.

Yeah I have been more to besides the theme parks. You didn't get what I was saying. I found Busch Gardens and Walt Disney World to be the most exciting parts of my visits.

You have no idea what street life means? I am not even going to explain to you ***MOD CUT***

Disney World is not even in Orlando. I get a kick out of tourists that base their opinion of Orlando on Disney World.

I lived in Orlando for 18 months and really, really liked it. It's a gorgeous city with very nice cultural amenities. The locals rarely go to I-Drive let alone Disney.

I did not vote, though. I lived in Florida for ten years, mostly in Fort Myers and Bonita Springs, but I just don't know enough about all the choices to fairly vote.

But Orlando is very nice. Crime is high but it is nice. I only moved because I had to.

I am well aware of that, which is my point, the most exciting thing about my trip to Orlando was Disney World, which means there was nothing exciting in Orlando because the one thing that excited me wasn't even in the city.

And you have personally been to and partied in all these cities? I doubt it. You got the word kid in your name, I doubt you are even old enough to drink yet.

I am 25, and no I have not been to all those cities, the ones I have been to are:

1. New York
2. Boston
3. D.C.
4. Chicago
5. LA
6. San Diego
7. Miami
8. Atlanta
9. Houston
10. Las Vegas
11. Milwaukee
12. Minneapolis
13. Pittsburgh

I am pretty confident that Austin, Dallas, SF, Denver, Philly, Seatlle and New Orleans have a much better nightlife than Orlando and Tampa as I have experienced both of them. I am not saying Orlando and Tampa have a crap nightlife, but there are certainly a lot more cities in the country that do have a better one.

So in your opinion where does Orlando and Tampa rank in street life and nightlife when compared to the other U.S. cities?

Tampa is my favorite city.

I don't know why Miami gained so many votes. Honestly, I don't care for Miami, too crowded and congested for my tastes. When I go there, it feels like everything's on top of me, like I can't get any open space. Not to mention how I nervous I get traveling on the Miami highways...

Miami is very dirty and grimy looking and feeling to me, sorry.

That wasn't the question.

I have to go with Orlando... I lived there for 5 years, except for the lack of air movement it was good. Tampa and Miami look overpopulated and dirty. Jacksonville I know nothing about except 95 and I-295 when I drive through is a crazy road. Orlando has so much to do. yes the other cities do too. Gee I wonder why the "great" city of Naples is not in the poll... Thee most boring part of FL is Southwest FL... I have looked into going back to Orlando, but it's not the same from what I read, and have been told.
