Has anyone ever lived in that area? I wish to get some feedback, especially whether this area is swamp land because I am considering setting up a retreat cabin.

Also, has anyone experienced hurricanes there, flooding, and how deep?

Thank you very much.

Did you check out official Flood Map or Flood Plain info on this area first?

Have you visited the place? Swamp land is pretty easy to spot.

Use FEMA's flood map to check the area. I've been looking at it myself and noted that much of the area DOES get flooded at times. It's also quite remote; very few if any grocery stores, restaurants, or gas stations
