Default Possible relocation to the Atlantic side of Florida, need help.

Hello~

Our family will need to relocate from MI to FL in the very near future. We will be flying into Orlando this upcoming week and will be traveling to Melbourne, then all the way up to St. Augustine.

Any suggestions of a family oriented city, communtiy, with good schools ( we have a 1st grader ) and is a short distance ( 15 minutes) to a nice beach would be appreciated.

To be honest some of the posts I have read about Florida are simply scary. I am really looking for some honest nice replys. All the cities in Florida can not be bad.

Thank you in advance for any replies.

There are some wonderful places to live along the path you'll be travelling. For low crime, family friendly places to live that also have excellent public schools (A-rated, 10s from GreatSchools) check out Satellite Beach (a hidden gem), Indialantic and Indian Harbour Beach in Brevard County, and the mostly unincorporated areas of northern St Johns County (north of St Augustine and south of Jacksonville) including Ponte Vedra/Palm Valley and Julington Creek. Good luck!

Port Orange. The schools are top notch. Safe family atmosphere. 5 minutes to the beach.
Shopping galore.

I'd like to recommend Deland, inland from Daytona.
