My wife and I have a big interest in going to flea markets. I have once attended the one in Daytona a good long while ago and that is the only flea market in Florida that I ever visited. I was extremely impressed with the enormity and variety of the content of the Daytona location too. Would anyone be kind to provide their insight regarding flea markets in Florida for me? I have heard of one at Pecan Park and St. Augustine and one will check them out, on a Sunday drive sometime. How are those two flea markets. Also, what are some other ones that are of good quality. I am not aware of any decent ones here in GA. There is one in Lake Park, GA but it sells a good quantity of junk and it is poorly arranged and maintain. Thanks for your help. ***MOD CUT***

Just north of Gainesville on US 301 is the Waldo Farmers and Flea Market. They also have an antique "mall" that is open every day.

Webster is my favorite and and never can miss on Monday morning.

Howards over on 19, Mt Dora is a must as well. Especially during the winter months when they have the Renningers Extravaganzas, Big Top near Tampa, Sanford and Eustis ( used to be big but last time I was there is was much smaller then it used to be ) have markets. Ft Lauderdale has a huge one also.
I also like Waldo as someone mentioned above.

Google flea markets in Florida.

Daytona is mostly new stuff.

Webster is fantastic, I always walk out of there with backpacks full of goodies.

I used to love one that was down in Port Orange, south of Daytona, on US 1 (Ridgewood Ave., Harbor Oaks I think). It was smallish, but had plenty of really neat stuff. But that was 20 or more years ago. Used to go with my mum, she loved it.

I'm looking for ones like that on the *other* side, Pinellas Penninsula, Tampa Bay. Any favourites?

I will have to check out Festival flea market.

The Swap Shop used to be the best, but sadly it is very rundown, lousy merchandise and shifty clientele these days.

Hi, is that near the famed Waldo "Speed Trap", lol. I do not see where it is such a speed trap since it is advertised on a humongous billboard. I know that the spee limit slows down a few times quickly ther, but there are speed limit signs too. Anyways, we are not interested in antiques. while, antiques are nostalgic and interesting for collectors and hobbyists, I am not yet wealthy enough to purchase things for outlandish prices that I would not use. I am extremely thrifty and no matter if I was a trillionaire I still will not buy much that I will not utilize completely and get its full worth out of. I am not one to go buy things for 'show', like many do these days. I may very well have to check out good ol'Waldo though because it is not really all that far away from here- if it has new, decent used or a lot of practical stuff that I may use. I see you are from the 'truer' florida in the North, whereabouts in general? We have some interest in maybe moving to somewhere there in the future. My wife likes Gainesville, I like Tally- but I believe too expensive, otherwise I like Lake City, Macclenny, and the Live Oak area. Thanks for your input, I appreciate it.

Yes, dear, I am aware that Daytona is new stuff, that is one reason I like it. Is Daytona, truly the largest one like they say? I seen what appeared to be a large flea market very near Tampa near Thonotosassa I rhink, what is that one? I do not need any info on any place way down in South Florida yet, I highly doubt that I will travel that far for a flea market unless we run out of interesting things to tour once we ever get to that region- probably a long time before then. We have to finish all of North Florida (western terminus Port St. Joe, eastern term. the Atlantic, northern term. the GA line, and southern term. Gainesville)first and have a good way to go yet, lol. So far we have toured these places in FL: Fernandina Beach&Amelia Island( will check out the state park at the southern terminus of the island next time, toured most everything else there), Atlantic/Neptune/Jax Beaches, Tallahassee, Port St. Joe&Cape San Blas, Gadsden County, nearly all of Hamilton County(incl. Suwannee River and Stephen Foster S.P., White Springs walking tour, and drove around much of the other towns and rest of county), Madison and the springs there, North Jefferson County and Monticello, and Baker County(Olustee and the towns there). Next on tap is Apalachicola, st. george Island, and Carrabelle. Second is Jacksonville city. We also throw in South GA attractions as well, north from Vienna or Savannah and a somewhat 'straight' line across GA east and west from there down. Once we are done with North Fla we will slowly tour msot of the headliners in Central and so on to the South. Thanks for you response as well.
