That makes no sense.

Weird thought I know but might be worth exploring, dontcha' think?

But wouldn't you like that "overt military superiority" in the event of another 9/11? So far, it's been almost 10 years without another attack on our soil.

Yeah, apparently the "overt military superiority" was a real deterrent the first time. The lack of terror attack has nothing to do with our ginormous military, there has been all kinds of opportunity and will continue to be with two open borders. They will attack again when they're ready. The issue with terrorists is there isn't a "place" to retaliate against given our lessons learned in Iraq and Afghanistan.

The comments about unemployment being cut. What is the state suppose to do. It really is strange how many people do not understand that governments just like a business run on MONEY!! Right now the state is spending more money then it is making so that is a problem. The state needs to cut down on spending. It does not matter what the cuts are people are always complaining.

As for the comments about too much military spending obviously a federal thing not a state thing, but people need to remember the United States Military is what keeps this world together and running smoothly for the past 100 years. I know people will disagree with me on this but it is the reality of the world today. The United States is the supreme power and it has a responsibility to monitor world events anywhere in the world and act if need be and that is just the way it is and will be for the foreseeable future. Military spending is not just something about protecting the US, but it about protecting the whole world and all of the US allies and freedom of other people around the world.

Actually it does matter where the money is coming from. Taxpayers fund the budget. Services to taxpayers should be among the last or least cut. Tax incentives in a time of economic downturn and little if any business expansion would be a good place to start, as well as the 200 million dollars in "pork" projects.

This. UI benefits are for people who have worked a considerable amount and paid plenty of taxes. Actually, they still pay taxes out of their UI checks as well as all other taxes & fees one encounters in the world.
