If Florida wants to solve any monetary problems it might have, trying to get that money from people who have basically nothing seems like a losing proposition from the get go.

in a healthy the people take care of each other, this is true. they are called families. It is not the responsibility of someone to take care of their neighbor it is the choice through charity. what did people do 200 years ago before these socialist ideals came up? they took care of themselves.

People who live on the state (their neighbors) use the money to buy some good if they cannot trade stamps for currency. Whatever they can convert turns into cigs beer drugs etc.

Taxes have no reason to rise and are moot in the conversation.

In every eviction we have seen wheel chairs left behind and all claimed to are on disability...the police told us that this is very common in eviction...drug and disability are very large amounts of scams...

'Bout time someone does! Have a brother who was an alcoholic in CA, he told me they paid him $750/mo to stay drunk. Even he thought that was rediculous. He ended up dieing homeless on a beach, his own choice, sory to say. He did however, manage to get RK eye surgeries w the monthly income from the state. Hmmm...

This is LONG overdue and should be adopted nationwide for any kind of government assisted program.

If I am required to take a drug test at my place of employment where I receive a paycheck and pay TAXES that go towards the benefits these people receive, they should most certainly be required to undergo routine drug tests.

Uh, absolutely! Why do they deserve them?!? Drugs are not free and if they are finding way to purchase drugs- maybe they don't have their best interest in mind. Maybe, they should put the efforts in finding drugs into find a job and changing their situation.

How can you feel sorry for someone who is riding on the backs of hard working people while they sit at home, receive free money and services- yet do drugs in their free time?

Such a loser's attitude and "poor ole me" attitude to take. You are making excuses for these people to continue to be poor and offer no solution for them to change their situation rather than receive benefits and maintain their way of life. That is pathetic.

If they want their benefits- stay drug free. Simple.

If they want to do drugs and risk losing government assistance...so be it. Lose them and starve in the streets. It's natural selection at it's best. People who do those things DON'T WANT to get better- they don't want their situation to improve.

Next the should retest people who have the disability parking decals. Many of them are not sick or they borrow them to healthy people...I know a few;
One was a convicted felon realtor who the decal for her asthma but she managed to bike in 90F and walk her 2dogs for more then 1hour in Fl. Heat....so tell can't she just park her car a little bit further?

The other one is a young girl who. Is 20 years old and has a family member working at one of the places that is handing them out and that is how she got it and she uses it whenever she feels like it...

Then I have a father that I know who paralyzed from the waist down due to a diving accident and can't do much but he has a special car so he can drive but he needs a wide space on the side to get his wheel chair in and out of the car.....many times the spots are taken by people who don't show any signs of needing the space...very sad!....I know people can have heart issues and it doesn't show...but my own dad has very bad heart issues and had to wait until he was almost 77 and hardly could walk more then 30 yards before having to stop and get his inhaler and many times he was told he was still healthy enough...luckily now he has it because he hardly can walk anymore and needs his motorized scoot mobile....

I don't see what the big deal is. If they are popping positive drug tests, that means they are spending money or food/items to get those drugs that should have gone to the family they are "providing" for, no?
