In all honesty, backtofla, I would not try to sell now. You won't get what you want. I think you just bought, correct? You don't want to move, right now, so don't.

I think we should all sit and wait, right now. If you have to sell, well, I think it is going to be very tough, and I am very sorry for that.

Yes, people will move in. I think.

PT Barnum's home was in Sarasota. He said a sucker was born every minute. Growing up, people without much, um, sense, dreamed of moving to Florida. But it was cheap then. Without the retirees, snowbirds, and, um criminals, what do you have? Well, if the people on the lam stay away, finally, it might be an improvement.

But who the heck is going to buy?

Florida was notorious for an affordable paradise, albeit debatable, living. Who the heck actually wants an over-inflated cracker-jack box? Snow birds and retirees in Florida are notoriously cheap.

That is gone now. There is nothing cheap. There are people selling there mistakes. Or others that would love to make a profit to get the heck out of Florida.

People with brains will not move to Florida. It is now over-inflated crap. Even the dumb baby-boomers know better than that. I think. And if they don't, their bad.

But this market is taking a crap.

Am I gleeful? Well, I would rather die than move back to Florida. And I have family in Florida, two families are foreclosing.

I hope the Florida market will have a ripple effect in Tennessee. So far, this has proved to be true.

Some perspective:
Market Woes A Matter of Perspective

Well, we did. And neither of us are snowbirds or retirees.
Are we, the "dumb baby boomers," or the Europeans in the article going to see much of a return on our investment?
Dunno.
For me right now, it is about quality of life--north Florida *works* for us.

I've said it a million times: the market correction needed to happen.
We recognize that it's happened (just as we recognize the discovery of sliced bread. )
But it's a big state, and what's happening in Ft Myers might not be precisely what's happening in Tallahassee.

The thing is...

Avarice aside. Greed aside. Capitalizing on what may, or may not happen aside. Peeps gotta eat, sleep, shower, take a crap, work, and have a roof over their head (mostly). SO, there is of course, the regular life goes one/opportunity costs factor. It's not like most folks, who have some form of means, are going to either live on the street in a cardboard box, or continue to crash on their ole college roomies couch, or whatever.

Life will go on. People will come, they will go, they will buy, they will sell.

World will keep on spinnin, whether you want to be on the carousel, or not.
