I am pleased about this of course.. but it seems that when the pressure was on about high gas prices.. the rhetoric, then focus and action taken on the areas of alternative energy sources, alternative modes of transportation, hybrids, electric, etc., etc., got more press. When the traditional fossil fuel based energy costs are high, and the populace is up in arms about it, then the dialogue and call to action progresses toward getting off the mideast oil crack pipe.
Now w. the energy costs easing, I'm worried that the idea of not trading blood for oil will be taken off the table w. respect to the national agenda.
